Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Bold vintage heavy pencil signature on a 4x6-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s. In good condition. Stately silent and Golden Age character actor Louis Calhern was typically cast as old-money, upper-crust urban aristocrats, larger-than-life historical personages or grizzled locals, most memorably in the early Henry Hull horror flick The Last Moment (1923), The Three Musketeers (1934), The Affairs of Cellini (1934), The Man with Two Faces (1934), The Arizonian (1935), The Last Days of Pompeii (1935), The Gorgeous Hussey (1936), The Life of Emile Zola (1937), Heaven Can Wait (1943), The Bridge of San Luis Rey (1944), Notorious (1946), Up in Arms (1946), The Magnificent Yankee (1950), Buffalo Bill in Annie Get Your Gun (1950), The Prisoner of Zenda (1952), Remains to Be Seen (1953), Julius Caesar (1953), The Prodigal (1955), Blackboard Jungle (1955), and High Society (1956). He intermittently broke away from type, playing the comic foil to the Marx Brothers in Duck Soup in 1933 and the criminal attorney in The Asphalt Jungle in 1950. Calhern died of a heart attack at the age of 61, while filming The Teahouse of the August Moon (1956) in Japan.
