Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Scarce original 3.5 x 5.25-inch 1930s English postcard portrait, boldly signed in blue ballpoint pen, probably right before his death. In good condition. British-born leading man Paul Cavanagh played well-bred, debonair cads and villains in scores of classic films of the 1930s and 1940s. His numerous forays into horror included roles in The Strange Case of Doctor Rx (1942), The Son of Dr. Jekyll (1951), Bride of the Gorilla (1951), The Strange Door (1951), House of Wax (1953), Francis in the Haunted House (1956), The Man Who Turned to Stone (1957), She Devil (1957), and The Four Skulls of Jonathan Drake (1959). He also appeared in three Sherlock Holmes films alongside Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce: The Scarlet Claw (1944), The House of Fear (1945) and The Woman in Green (1945).
