Rare and terrific 1968 hardcover first edition of Criswell Predicts from Now to the Year 2000, boldly signed and inscribed in black felt-tip pen at an in-person appearance in the early 1970s. In good condition, with the autograph itself easily mattable with a favorite photograph, and minor cover wear. There is light surface loss to the bottom right-hand corner tip. Note that the image of the star shown here, alongside the scan of the autograph, is not included. Despite cult psychic and author Criswell's outlandish claim that 89% of his predictions foretold future events, only his premonition of J.F.K.'s tragic demise in 1963 seems to have come to pass. An occasional film actor, he is remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy fans for his campy, stiff-as-a-board performances in three Ed Wood favorites: Plan 9 from Outer Space (1959), Night of the Ghouls (1959) and Orgy of the Dead (1965). Criswell's autograph is highly elusive in any format.
