John Cromwell directed some of Hollywood's best-loved classics of the Golden Age, including Tom Sawyer (1930), Scandal Sheet (1931), Of Human Bondage (1934), Little Lord Fauntleroy (1936), The Prisoner of Zenda (1937), The Adventures of Marco Polo (1938), Made for Each Other (1939), Abe Lincoln in Illinois (1940), So Ends Our Night (1941), Since You Went Away (1944), Anna and the King of Siam (1946), Dead Reckoning (1947), Caged (1950), and The Goddess (1958). This is just the fifth example of his autograph we've encountered in 30 years.
