Cat. #0016643: FREDRIC MARCH

Terrific vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait in military attire, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen in-perso for an inveterate New York City-based child autograph hound around 1935, when he used this form of his signature. In good condition for its age, with minor edgewear. Handsome leading man Fredric March is beloved of horror, sci-fi and fantasy buffs for his Oscar-nominated double role in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931). He further contributed to the genre with his roles as the weary Grim Reaper in Death Takes a Holiday (1934) and the bewildered husband of sorceress Veronica Lake in the horror-themed comedy I Married a Witch (1943).
