Scarce vintage 8x10-inch sepia-tone bust portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, circa 1923.  In fine condition, with gentle surface creases and minor flecks of silvering.  One of Vitagraph Studio's most popular stars, the silent screen beauty was memorable in dramas and comedies like A Tale of Two Cities (1911), Virtuous Wives (1918), In Old Kentucky (1919), The Fighting Shepherdess (1920), Rose o' the Sea (1922), The Great White Way (1924), and Never the Twain Shall Meet (1925).
