Scarce vintage 3.5 x 5.5-inch black and white portrait as Sherlock Holmes in the acclaimed BBC series of 1964 through 1965, signed in black ballpoint pen in the white border.  In very good condition and ideal for display.  The distinguished character actor was also memorable in a mixed bag of horror, sci-fi and fantasy flicks, and historical epics, including El Cid (1961), Jason and the Argonauts (1963), Cleopatra (1963), The Brides of Fu Manchu (1966), The Vengeance of Fu Manchu (1967), The Vampire Lovers (1970), Patton (1970), Cromwell (1970), The Golden Voyage of Sinbad (1973), and the James Bond favorite Octopussy (1983).
