Amplas is primarily known for his work in the films of George A. Romero, most notably in the title role in Martin (1978), as Dr. Ted Fisher in Day of the Dead (1978) and as the zombie version of Nathan in Creepshow (1982), whose iconic scene in the "Father's Day" sequence features him screaming, "I want my cake!"
