Cat. #000365132: JUDITH ANDERSON

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Uncommonly early blue fountain pen signature on a 4x5-inch pale grey autograph album page, acquired in-person at Warner Brothers Studios in the 1930s. In good condition and nice for matting with a favorite photograph. Character actor Larry Tierney signs in blue fountain pen on the verso. Formidable Australian-born stage and screen star Dame Judith Anderson excelled at playing evil, sinister or scheming types, most notably Mrs. Danvers in Rebecca (1940), Slade in Lady Scarface (1941), Ann Treadwell in Laura (1944), Emily Brent in And Then There Were None (1945), Memnet in The Ten Commandments (1956), and Big Momma Pollitt in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (1958). Later in life, she memorably portrayed the Vulcan High Priestess in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984).
