White-haired, bespectacled character actor Edward Andrews played ornery bosses, cranky physicians and cagey businessmen in countless films and on numerous television series. Highlights of his long career include Tea and Sympathy (1956), Elmer Gantry (1960), The Absent-Minded Professor (1961), The Young Savages (1961), The Young Doctors (1961), Son of Flubber (1963), Send Me No Flowers (1964), Birds Do It (1966), and the horror flick Gremlins (1984). He was also noteworthy on two episodes of T.V.'s "The Twilight Zone" in 1960 and 1964.
