Highly rare vintage black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in 1951-- when she was 18 years old!-- and decorated with a newspaper image of the star. In fine condition for its age, with some paper loss to the two upper corners, where it had once been affixed to a scrapbook with tape. Before her tragic suicide by overdose at the age of 39, which followed a series of disastrous relationships, gorgeous Sardinian leading actress Pier Angeli dazzled and charmed in films like Tomorrow Is Too Late (1950), The Light Touch (1952), The Story of Three Loves (1953), Mam'zelle Nitouche (1954), Flame and the Flesh (1954), The Silver Chalice (1954), Somebody Up There Likes Me (1956), Port Afrique (1956), The Vintage (1957), Merry Andrew (1958), SOS Pacific (1959), The Angry Silence (1960), White Slave Ship (1961), Sodom and Gomorrah (1962), Panic in Bangkok (1964), Battle of the Bulge (1965), and the sci-fi opus Octaman (1971).
