From a massive horde of signatures, all acquired in-person over three decades by an indefatigable autograph hound, comes this highly rare bold vintage inscribed black fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch off-white card, decorated with a small magazine image, acquired in the 1960s. In very fine condition. Pudgy, energized character actor Harry Antrim portrayed cranky cops, bosses, priests; politicians, politicians, physicians, military men, and other persons of authority in classic films like Miracle on 34th Street (1947), in which he so famously played Mr. Macy; Act of Violence (1948); Ma and Pa Kettle (1949); The Heiress (1949); Intruder in the Dust (1949); Mr. Belvedere Rings the Bell (1951); Teacher's Pet (1958); and Elmer Gantry (1960). Later in life, he was a regular on T.V. westerns, including "Bronco" (1958), "Rawhide" (1959), "Have Gun-- Will Travel" (1960), "Lawman" (1960), "Bonanza" (1960), "Gunsmoke" (1962), and "The Virginian" (1967), and also popped up on episodes of "The Andy Griffith Show" (1960-1961) and "Green Acres" (1967).
