Uncommon signature in fountain pen on a 3.5 x x 5-inch pale pink autograph album page, acquired in-person in 1932 and decorated with a small magazine image. In good condition for its age, with the affixed image slightly frayed. Diminutive, fiery Latina singer and dancer Armida was hand-selected by John Barrymore to portray the gypsy Fidelia in General Crack (1930), after which she was signed to a five-year contract with Warner Brothers. Initially groomed as the studio's answer to Lupe Velez, the raven-haired beauty was gradually relegated to B-level adventure, romance and western flicks like The Girl from Monterrey (1943), Machine Gun Mama (1944), South of the Rio Grande (1945), and Jungle Goddess (1948).
