Classic Entertainment Autographs

Scarce vintage black fountain pen signature on a 3x5-inch tan card, part of a large collection all acquired in-person by a busy Hollywood-based autograph hound in the 1930s and decorated with a small magazine image. In fine condition for its age, with gentle toning throughout. Best remembered for his portrayal of disastrously arrogant director Carl Denham in King Kong (1933) and Son of Kong (1933), ever-electrified character actor Robert Armstrong is also remembered by horror, sci-fi and fantasy fans for his portrayals of Martin in the thriller The Most Dangerous Game (1932), Scoop McClure in The Mad Ghoul (1943) and Max O’Hara in Mighty Joe Young (1949).
