Veteran silent and Golden Age character actor Sig Arno had supporting roles in scores of classic films, including Pandora's Box (1929), Diary of a Lost Girl (1929), The Great Dictator (1940), Hellzapoppin' (1941), The Palm Beach Story (1941), and Dubarry Was a Lady (1943). He made several contributions to the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres, including The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939), The Mummy's Hand (1940) and the George Zucco gem Dark Streets of Cairo (1940).
