Scarce vintage green fountain pen signature and self-caricature on a 4.5 x 5.5-inch off-white envelope, dating to 1948. In good condition. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Veteran silent and Golden Age character actor Sig Arno had supporting roles in scores of classic films, including Pandora's Box (1929), Diary of a Lost Girl (1929), The Great Dictator (1940), Hellzapoppin' (1941), The Palm Beach Story (1941), and Dubarry Was a Lady (1943). He made several contributions to the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres, including The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939), The Mummy's Hand (1940) and the George Zucco gem Dark Streets of Cairo (1940).
