Scarce vintage pencil signature on a 4x5-inch tan autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s. In good condition for its age, with gentle toning, and nice for matting with a favorite photograph. Influential Black jazz singer Mildred Bailey was dubbed the Queen of Swing and The Rockin' Chair Lady, piling up hit recordings like "It's So Peaceful in the Country," "Trust in Me," "I Let a Song Go Out of My Heart," "Small Fry," "Please Be Kind," "Darn That Dream," "Rockin' Chair," "Blame It on My Last Affair," "Says My Heart," and "Where Are You?" She died of heart failure at the age of 44 and her autograph is highly elusive in any format.
