Scarce vintage inscribed signature in blue ballpoint pen on a 2x4-inch slip of receipt paper, acquired in-person in the 1950s, during his run as the host of T.V.'s "You Asked for It" (1950-1959).  In very good condition.  The traveling evangelist-turned Hollywood tour guide-turned celebrated character actor played congenial, white-haired judges, attorneys, detectives, wardens, politicians, clergymen, physicians, military officers, business executives, and other authority figures in films like Spellbound (1945), The Farmer's Daughter (1947), A Southern Yankee (1948), State of the Union (1948), Impact (1949), The Underworld Story (1950), and Cause for Alarm! (1951).
