Highly rare vintage 5x7-inch sepia-tone publicity portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in purple fountain pen in the early 1950s. In good condition, with minor pinholes in the corners. Beautiful big band singer, actress and dancer Suzan Ball, who was the cousin of Lucille Ball, was memorable in Aladdin and His Lamp (1952), Untamed Frontier (1952), Yankee Buccaneer (1952), City Beneath the Sea (1953), East of Sumatra (1953), War Arrow (1953), and Chief Crazy Horse (1954) before her tragic early death of cancer at the age of 21. Her autograph is extraordinarily elusive in any format.
