Highly scarce vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait, warmly signed and inscribed for a friend in brown fountain pen in the late 1930s. In fine condition for its age, priced to reflect some glue stains affecting the area around her head, including one circular stain to her forehead, and the right edge. Important character actress Edith Barrett is remembered by horror buffs for her portrayal of Mrs. Rand in I Walked with a Zombie (1943), and was elsewhere marvelous in Lady for a Night (1942), The Ghost Ship (1943), The Song of Bernadette (1943), Jane Eyre (1943), Strangers in the Night (1944), and The Keys of the Kingdom (1944).
