Rare vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait as Aunt Bea, boldly signed in black felt-tip marker in the 1980s. In good condition, with gentle edgewear and a hint of show-through in the upper left-hand corner from an ownership stamp on the verso of the image. Venerable character actress Frances Bavier is beloved by classic television fans for her portrayal of Aunt Bea on "The Andy Griffith Show" (1960-1968). She was also noteworthy as Mrs. Barley in the sci-fi classic The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951).
