Scarce vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in blue felt-tip pen in the 1970s. In good condition, with some gentle toning to the borders. Busy character actor Whit Bissell was typically cast as doctors, military officers and other men of authority.  He was memorable in the horror, sci-fi and fantasy favorites Lost Continent (1951), The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954), Target Earth (1954), The Atomic Kid (1954), Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), I Was A Teenage Werewolf (1957), I Was a Teenage Frankenstein (1957), Monster on the Campus (1958), City Beneath the Sea (1971), Soylent Green (1973), Psychic Killer (1975), and The Time Machine (1978), and on the classic "The Trouble with Tribbles" episode of "Star Trek" (1967). He also appeared on the sci-fi-themed T.V. series "The Time Tunnel" (1966-1967).
