Classic Entertainment Autographs

Bold vintage signature in blue ballpoint pen on a 3x5-inch tan card, acquired in-person by a busy Hollywood-based autograph hound in 1969, not long after his spectacular appearance in Rosemary's Baby(1968). In good condition and nice for matting with a favorite photograph. Veteran stage, and silent and Golden Age character actor Sidney Blackmer is remembered by horror buffs for his starring roles as Eugene Fulton in The Lady and the Monster (1944) and the scheming warlock Roman Castevet in Rosemary's Baby (1968).  He was elsewhere memorable in Little Caesar (1931), The Count of Monte Cristo (1934), Heidi (1937), Charlie Chan at Monte Carlo (1937), Thank You, Mr. Moto (1937), The Last Gangster (1937), Angels with Broken Wings (1941), The Panther's Claw (1941), Duel in the Sun (1946), High Society (1956), and How to Murder Your Wife (1965).
