Nice 8x10-inch color portrait from McHale's Navy (1964), looking characteristically tough, but tender, boldly signed in blue felt-tip marker in-person at a film convention appearance about 15 years ago. In good condition. Wonderful "every man" actor Ernest Borgnine, who snagged an Oscar for his portrayal of the titular lonesome butcher in Marty (1955), is also remembered for From Here to Eternity (1953), Barabbas (1961), McHale's Navy (1964) and its T.V. adaptation (1962-1966), The Dirty Dozen (1967), The Wild Bunch (1969), The Adventurers (1969), the horror flick Willard (1971), The Poseidon Adventure (1972), and Jesus of Nazareth (1977).
