RARE and magnificent vintage 10x8-inch sepia-tone portrait from the set of his silent masterpiece Seventh Heaven (1927)-- for which he snagged the very first Academy Award for Direction-- shown flanked by the film's stars, Charles Farrell and Janet Gaynor, with all three signing in fountain pen along the bottom border in the late 1920s. In fine condition for its age, with some minor creasing to one corner.
