Scarce vintage signature in fountain pen on a 4x6-inch pale yellow autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1950s. In good condition, with a small label by the original collector. Ideal for matting. The tough-as-nails leading lady, who was the older sister of actor Marlon Brando, was principally a stage actress, but made a number of key forays into Hollywood films. Her best-known movie role was that of detective Glenn Ford's murdered wife in the 1953 gangster melodrama The Big Heat. She went on to appear, alongside her more famous sibling, in The Ugly American (1962) and The Chase (1966). In her later years, she was a busy character actress, brassy as ever as Barbara Bennett in Mommie Dearest (1981) and and the mother of the unfairly accused Larry Drake in the cult horror gem Dark Night of the Scarecrow (1981).
