Classic Entertainment Autographs

Cat. #0006031: MARLON BRANDO

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

A RARE authentic, mattable example of the star's autograph, inscribed in-person in black ink on a roughly 4x6-inch off-white sheet of notepaper for a helicopter operator in the 1970s. Quite unusual to see specimens dating to the era of The Godfather (1972) and we do not know if the star was being flown around related to the filming of that masterpiece. In good condition, with a gentle vertical fold down the center, and a few minor crinkles and flecks of soiling. Iconic two-time Oscar-winner Marlon Brando brought gripping realism to classic films like A Streetcar Named Desire (1951), Viva Zapata! (1952), Julius Caesar (1953), The Wild One (1953), On the Waterfront (1954), Reflections in a Golden Eye (1967), The Godfather (1972), Last Tango in Paris (1972), and Apocalypse Now (1979). He is also remembered by sci-fi and fantasy fans for his roles in Superman (1978) and The Island of Dr. Moreau (1996).
