Ultra-rare typed letter, dated 1944 and signed in black fountain pen, in which she gives details regarding her lovely physique and mentions just having completed two films with Tom Conway. This is just the second example of her autograph we have ever encountered. In good condition, with some gentle surface crinkles. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the signed piece is not included. Beautiful R.K.O. Studios B-movie regular Jean Brooks was memorable as Gloria Cunningham in The Invisible Killer (1939); Ming the Merciless' henchwoman Olga in Flash Gordon Conquers the Universe (1940); Gloria Manning in The Green Hornet Strikes Again! (1941); Kiki Walker in The Leopard Man (1943); Iris Fairchild in The Falcon in Danger (1943); and Jacqueline Gibson in The Seventh Victim (1943). She also had a small role in The Invisible Man Returns (1940). Her film career collapsed in her thirties, due to growing struggles with alcoholism, which ultimately led to her death from hepatic encephalopathy at the age of 47.
