Rare ballpoint pen signature on a 5x7-inch white page from an artist's sketchbook, acquired in-person in the late 1990s, when the budding star was more inclined to sign for fans. In good condition, with a few surface crinkles and light show-through from an illegible autograph on the verso in black marker. Good-looking Irish-born leading man Pierce Brosnan first gained fame as the titular suave adventurer on T.V.'s "Remington Steele: (1982-1987). After a period of personal setbacks, including losing the plum role of James Bond to Timothy Dalton in 1986 and the death of wife Cassandra Harris from cancer in 1991, he reemerged in a starring role in Robin Williams' mega-hit Mrs. Doubtfire (1993). Two years later, Brosnan got to play Agent 007, after all, in the Bond flick GoldenEye (1995), followed up by Tomorrow Never Dies (1997), The World Is Not Enough (1999), and Die Another Day (2002). Elsewhere, he was memorable in Robinson Crusoe (1996), Tim Burton's Mars Attacks! (1996), and Dante's Peak (1997), The Thomas Crown Affair (1999). Good luck acquiring another authentic example! Forgeries abound.
