Scarce and nifty vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait from his days as Gene Autry's companion, boldly signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint pen in the 1980s. In good condition. Comic character actor Pat Buttram was endeared to television audiences as Gene Autry's sidekick on "The Gene Autry Show" (1950-1956) and fast-talking conman Mr. Haney on T.V.'s "Green Acres" (1965-1971). His distinctive voice, which was once described as resembling "a handful of gravel thrown into a Mix-Master," was repeatedly tapped for Disney animated features. He was memorable as Napoleon in The AristoCats (1970), the Sheriff of Nottingham in Robin Hood (1973), Luke in The Rescuers (1977), Chief in The Fox and the Hound (1981), and one of Eddie's talking bullets in Who Framed Roger Rabbit? (1988).
