Cat. #000842122: LEO G. CARROLL

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Highly rare vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait as Mr. Waverly, chief of the international crime-fighters on T.V.'s "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." (1964-1968), signed with his name alone in blue ballpoint pen in the late 1960s or early 1970s. The ink just a shade light; otherwise, in good condition for its age. English-born character actor Leo G. Carroll is best remembered for his multiple collaborations with Alfred Hitchcock, including Rebecca (1940), Suspicion (1941), Spellbound (1945), Strangers on a Train (1951), and North by Northwest (1959). He made a number of contributions to the horror, sci-fi, fantasy, mystery, and crime film genres, including London by Night (1937), A Christmas Carol (1938), Tower of London (1939), Charlie Chan in City in Darkness (1939), Charlie Chan's Murder Cruise (1940), T.V.'s "Topper" (1953-1955), and Tarantula (1955).
