Heavenly vintage 8x10-inch black and white portrait, boldly signed in black fountain pen in the 1930s. In good condition, with scattered handling bends, most noticeable at the top and right borders, and along the bottom of the right border just above and below the end of her signature. British beauty Madeleine Carroll starred in films like The 39 Steps (1935) and The Prisoner of Zenda (1937), but gradually abandoned her career following the death of her beloved sister during the London blitz in World War II.
