Absolutely impossible to find vintage 7.75 x 10-inch black and white 1938 Paramount publicity portrait, signed and inscribed in black fountain pen in the period of the image. In fine condition for its age, with a tiny chip to the upper left-hand corner tip, a minute tear to the right edge, some faint creasing throughout, and the writing light in the second half of the signature. Gorgeous Dolores Casey was Goldwyn girl and model before being signed by Paramount in 1933. Inarguably one of the studios prettiest up-and-comers, she was notable in films like Roman Scandals (1934), Kid MillionsĀ (1934) andĀ King of Chinatown (1939) before developing tuberculosis and dying at the age of 32. Her autograph is exceptionally rare in any format, this being the second example we have ever encountered.
