Classic Entertainment Autographs

Scarce, quite early 8x10-inch black and white portrait, dating to the onset of his acting career in the late 1950s, boldly signed and inscribed in blue ballpoint pen with the handwriting associated with this period. In good condition, with minor edgewear and light show-through of a red rubberstamp that was applied to the photo's flipside. Good-looking leading man, cinéma vérité director and screenwriter John Cassavetes was memorable in The Dirty Dozen (1967) and the horror classic Rosemary's Baby (1969) before his premature death of cirrhosis of the liver.
