Extremely rare-- just the third we have had-- vintage 8x10-inch black and white glossy portrait as Injun Joe, the nemesis of Tom Sawyer and Huck, on T.V.'s "The New Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" (1968-1969), boldly signed in black felt-tip pen at the time of the show. In good condition, overall, with minor creasing in spots. Ted Cassidy is best remembered for his portrayal of Lurch, the hulking, inadvertently terrifying majordomo on T.V.'s "The Addams Family" (1964-1966), also doubling as Thing on the series. The 6'9" actor is elsewhere remembered as a Martian in sci-fi's The Angry Red Planet (1957); Lurch in a guest spot on "Batman" (1966); Gorn, Balok's puppet and and Ruk on classic episodes of "Star Trek" (1966-1967); Harvey Logan in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969); and the voice of the titular juggernaut on "The Incredible Hulk" (1978-1982). Always in poor health, due to his enormous stature, he tragically died following open-heart surgery at the age of 46 and his autograph is extremely uncommon in any format.
