Vintage 8x10-inch black and white publicity portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen in 1943. In good condition, with one negligible handling ding to the lower right-hand corner. The familiar-faced character actor appeared in scores of films from the 1920s through 1960s, playing cops, reporters, sidekicks, and office clerks in mystery and crime flicks like Lightning Strikes Twice (1934), Murder on a Honeymoon (1935), Mr. Moto Takes a Chance (1938), Time Out for Murder (1938), The Mysterious Miss X (1939), Honeymoon Deferred (1940), Pier 13 (1940), I Wake Up Screaming (1941), and Seven Doors to Death (1944). In the 1950s, he memorably starred in the sci-fi B-movie Lost Continent (1955) and as Tubo Smith on T.V.'s short-lived series "Soldiers of Fortune" (1955).
