Rare 8x10-inch black and white Universal Studios publicity portrait, signed and inscribed in blue ink in the 1950s. In good condition, with the writing a shade light in some spots. White-haired tough guy Jeff Chandler was nominated for an Academy Award for his portrayal of Cochise in Broken Arrow (1950), and was elsewhere noteworthy in Sword in the Desert (1948), Mr. Belvedere Goes to College (1949), Son of Ali Baba (1952), Female on the Beach (1955), Away All Boats (1956), and Return to Peyton Place (1961). He died tragically during a botched surgery for a herniated disc, aged only 42.
