Charming Kathleen Clifford began her career as a male impersonator in vaudeville, billed as The Smartest Chap in Town, opposite drag artist Bothwell Browne. She entered filmed in 1917, spending about a decade in high-profile films, opposite Cullen Landis, Douglas Fairbanks Sr., Bert Lytell, Wallace Beery, and William Haines, before abandoning Hollywood to become a florist in Hollywood.
