Cat. #00103901: E. E. CLIVE

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Extremely rare vintage fountain pen signature on a roughly 4x5-inch light grey autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1930s. In good condition and excellent for matting with a favorite photograph. Note that the image of the star shown alongside the scan of the autograph here is not actually included. Welsh-born stage and screen character actor E.E. Clive was almost uniformly cast as deeply serious majordomos, mayors and aristocrats. He is remembered by horror and sci-fi fans for his appearances in The Invisible Man (1933), Mystery of Edwin Drood (1935), Bride of Frankenstein (1935), Dracula's Daughter (1936) and the Basil Rathbone Sherlock Holmes film The Hound of the Baskervilles (1939).
