Extremely rare vintage blue fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch light green autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1940s. Actress June Havoc signs on the verso. In very good condition, with a minor nick to one corner tip, and suitable for matting. Note that the image of the star shown here alongside the scan of the autograph is not included. Suave, well-spoken Tom Conway, who was the brother of George Sanders, played Tom Lawrence, the Falcon in ten installments of the mystery series and lent his distinctive voice to Disney's animated classics Peter Pan (1953) and 101 Dalmations (1961). He is further revered by fans of the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres for his roles in Tarzan's Secret Treasure (1941); Val Lewton's Cat People (1942), I Walked with a Zombie (1943) and The Seventh Victim (1943); Bride of the Gorilla (1951); Tarzan and the She-Devil (1953); The She- Creature (1956); Voodoo Woman (1957); Atomic Submarine (1959); and 12 to the Moon (1960). He died of cirrhosis of the liver at the age of 62. This is just the fourth example of his autograph we have ever offered.
