Nifty vintage 8x10-inch black and white publicity portrait as a teenager, boldly signed and inscribed in blue fountain pen in the late 1930s. In fine condition for its age, with light creasing; pinholes and small areas of paper loss in the top and bottom borders; and scattered mild handling bends, a few in the facial area, mostly invisible when the photo is viewed head-on. After memorable work in the Our Gang comedy shorts of the 1930s, child star Jackie Cooper was nominated for an Oscar for Skippy (1931) at the ripe old age of nine. He went on to an unforgettable performance in The Champ (1931), opposite Wallace Beery. Later in life, he played Perry White in the Superman trilogy of 1978, 1980 and 1983.
