Cat. #0010512: WENDELL COREY

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Scarce vintage 8x10-inch publicity portrait as Johnny Ryan in Desert Fury (1947), shown firing a handgun, boldly signed with his name alone in blue fountain pen in the 1940s. In good condition. Incisive, sharp-eyed Wendell Corey entered films with a Paramount contract in 1946, alternating between leading roles, and supporting parts as devoted best pals and cold-hearted villains. Highlights of his career included Sorry, Wrong Number (1948), The Search (1948), The File of Thelma Jordan (1950), No Sad Songs for Me (1950), The Wild Blue Yonder (1951), Rear Window (1954), and The Big Knife (1955).
