Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Scarce vintage inscribed blue fountain pen signature on a 4x6-inch light blue autograph autograph album page, acquired in-person at N.B.C. Studios in October of 1942, the year he was filming Son of Dracula, released in 1943. In good condition. Veteran character player, director, playwright, and producer Frank Craven achieved theatrical immortality as the Stage Manager in the original 1938 Broadway production of "Our Town", which he would recreate in the film adaptation of 1940. In Hollywood, he famously penned the Laurel and Hardy comedy Sons of the Desert (1933) and, as an actor, played wry small-town wisecrackers and various men of authority in nearly 40 classic films, including State Fair (1933), Barbary Coast (1935), In This Our Life (1942), the horror favorite Son of Dracula (1943), and Destiny (1944).
