Cat. #001124241: HENRIETTA CROSMAN

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Scarce vintage fountain pen signature on a 2 x 3.25-inch tan card, dating to circa 1910.  In good condition for its age, with a minute stain to the lower edge, not touching the writing itself.  Henrietta Crosman was a major theater star when she briefly joined Famous Players Lasky in 1914, playing strong, heroic women in films like The Unwelcome Mrs. Hatch (1914) and The Supreme Test (1915).  She wouldn't return to the screen until the 1930s, but by then, she was an older woman, chiefly consigned to playing icy, silver-tongued grande dames, as in Pilgrimage (1933), Such Women Are Dangerous (1934), The Curtain Falls (1934), Menace (1934), The Dark Angel (1934), and Charlie Chan's Secret (1936).
