Uncommon and early vintage 8x10-inch black and white boudoir portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in-person in green fountain pen forĀ inveterate collector Joe Walsh in the early 1940s, during her pre-motion picture nightclub days. In good condition for its age, with a few minor handling dings, and lovely for display. Buxom French siren Denise Darcel joined the ranks of thick-accented, post-WWII leading ladies embellishing American films, which also included Marta Toren, Viveca Lindfors, Corinne Calvet, and Bella Darvi. Ever-relegated to such B-level fare as Tarzan and the Slave Girl (1950), Westward the Women (1951) and Vera Cruz (1954), she got out of the movie business the early 1960s, returning to her music career.
