Cat. #00116533: LINDA DARNELL

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Scarce typed and boldly signed letter on her personal stationery to film author Charles K. Stumpf, making reference to the play "Harbor Lights", in which she appeared in 1956, and her film Centennial Summer (1946). In good condition for its age. Gorgeous Linda Darnell dazzled in films like Star Dust (1940), The Mark of Zorro (1940), Blood and Sand (1941), The Loves of Edgar Allan Poe (1942), The Song of Bernadette (1943), It Happened Tomorrow (1944), horror's Hangover Square (1944), Anna and the King of Siam (1946), My Darling Clementine (1946), A Letter to Three Wives (1949), and No Way Out (1950) before being burned to death in a house fire at the age of 41. Authentic examples of her autograph are highly elusive in any format.
