Gorgeous Linda Darnell dazzled in films like Star Dust (1940), The Mark of Zorro (1940), Blood and Sand (1941), The Loves of Edgar Allan Poe (1942), The Song of Bernadette (1943), It Happened Tomorrow (1944), horror's Hangover Square (1944), Anna and the King of Siam (1946), My Darling Clementine (1946), A Letter to Three Wives (1949), and No Way Out (1950) before being burned to death in a house fire at the age of 41. The star employed secretaries to answer her fan mail and they mimicked her autograph very well. Authentic examples of her signature are highly elusive in any format.
