Scarce vintage signature in black fountain pen on a 2x5-inch pink autograph album page, acquired in-person in the 1940s. In good condition and suitable for matting with a favorite photograph. Unforgettable character actor John Davidson, who excelled at playing cold-blooded villains in scores of silent and early talkie films, made a number of contributions to the horror, sci-fi and fantasy genres, including Tod Browning's The Thirteenth Chair (1929), 6 Hours to Live (1932), Charlie Chan in Egypt (1935), The Devil Bat (1940), The Purple Monster Strikes (1945), and several Republic serials of the late 1930s, including Dick Tracy and Captain Marvel.
