Extremely uncommon vintage 8x10-inch black and white bust portrait, boldly signed in black fountain pen in the 1930s. In good conditon for its age, with gentle surface creases which do not detract from the overall appearance of the item. The Pulitzer Prize-winning dramatist and screenwriter penned or co-authored 60 scripts for silent and early talkie films, including Whoopee (1930), Jezebel (1938) and Up in Arms (1944). The searing wit also wrote some unforgettable comedy shorts, starring Lloyd Hamilton, Carter DeHaven and Mack Swain.
