She was among the favorite leading ladies of director Tod Browning, for whom she headlined in The Brazen Beauty (1918); Which Woman? (1918); The Exquisite Thief (1919); The Wicked Darling (1919) and Outside the Law (1920) with Lon Chaney, Sr.; The Virgin of Stamboul (1920); Under Two Flags (1922); Drifting (1923); and White Tiger (1923). Later, she was memorable in the Laurel and Hardy flick Slipping Wives (1927).
