Cat. #00117512: DOROTHY DEARING

Sorry, this item has already been sold.

Rare vintage 8x10-inch black and white 20th Century-Fox publicity portrait by Gene Kornman, circa 1935, boldly signed in green fountain pen against the busy pattern of her dress.  In very good condition, with a few scattered handling dings.  Lovely chorine and movie starlet Dorothy Dearing played eye-catching stenographers, secretaries, showgirls, girls-next-door, models, nurses, classmates, and dinner dates in films like Girls Dormitory (1936), Alexander's Ragtime Band (1938), The Blue Bird (1940), That Night in Rio (1941), Moon Over Miami (1941), I Wake Up Screaming (1942), and My Gal Sal (1942).  She died of unspecified causes at the age of 52 and her autograph is highly elusive in any format.
