Classic Entertainment Autographs

Uncommonly early and very pretty vintage 5x7-inch sepia-tone portrait, boldly signed and inscribed in black fountain pen for inveterate collector and military photographer Joe Walsh around 1939, when she was appearing in Gone with the Wind. In good condition. Enchanting Olivia De Havilland won two Oscars, for To Each His Own (1946) and The Heiress (1949), and was also nominated for Gone with the Wind (1939), Hold Back the Dawn (1941) and The Snake Pit (1948).  She was elsewhere memorable in A Midsummer Night's Dream (1935), Captain Blood (1935), Anthony Adverse (1936), The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938), The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex (1939), They Died with Their Boots On (1941), In This Our Life (1942), and, later in life, horror's Hush... Hush, Sweet Charlotte (1964).
